As I walk this tidal path

As I walk this tidal path is based on psychogeographic wanderings in the Thames estuary. Walking from Southeast London to Kent and Essex – through nature and industry – I explore my inner topography and let my mind roam. I reflect on personal memories, belonging, friction and growth.

A photobook and cyanotypes, produced on- and off-site, form the heart of the installation. They are accompanied by sounds I recorded during my walks, co-produced with techno artist SIOBHAN.

Blending the mundane and the surreal, the work is an invitation to immerse oneself in the landscape: to dream, to remember and to imagine.

Photobook

Hinting at the experience of finding things on a walk, the viewer of the book encounters a concertina fold-out as well as two small loose sheets of tracing paper with text.

The book will be available in two versions: as a stapled retail edition with a replica cyanotype cover and as a unique artist’s edition with original cyanotpes as covers, handstitched with sailing twine.
